Life is cozy

The fall 07 semester has officially come to a close. I got two A's and three B's. Not too bad for an extra hectic semester. After next semester I will finally have enough credits to be considered a junior. Yay... only two more years of college!

Hamlet got deballed at the end of November. I felt like a really bad mommy leaving him at the vets, but fortunately all turned out well.

I have decided to take on sewing. Yesterday I sewed my first towel- and it took me three hours! Haha. Shut up. I'm new at it.

I bought a book to teach how to sew by Diana Rupp. I wish I lived in New York so I could take sewing lessons from her. My next project will be more towels (so I can perfect sewing in a straight line) and a pillow. My first hard project will be yoga pants, which will hopefully be made just in time for the yoga class I am taking this spring. All of the projects come straight out of Diana's book. I'm totally excited to learn more about sewing. Nerd.

Today I saw a bumper sticker that said, "All American's should support the WAR." Hhahahaha. I definitely do not support the war, however I do support the troops. I don't appreciate people telling me what to think through a bumber sticker. Stupid redneck hicks. Peace rocks. And Hilary SOCKS. Hahaha. No more coffee for me.

Goodbye, goodnight, and good year.

love your favorite jessy.

potter 7

in 24 hours i got a full eight hours of sleep, showered, had two meals and oh yeah- i also managed to read all 750 pages of the last harry potter book.

i feel so goshdarned accomplished. pshh.

beware: if you read the book, be prepared to cry your eyes out.

it was sooo good though. i just wish she would have left the epilogue out so the rest could have been left to my imagination.

j.k. rowling is my idol. i hope one day my books will even get a fraction of the praise her novels have gotten.

must repeat myself over and over.

and over and over. again and again.

and again and again and again.

think i will climb into bed, bust out my handy ipod, and blare guns n' roses until i lose my hearing.

wish me luck.

Hick Town.

Was just surfing through old friends and acquantances from high school on MySpace, and found a lot of people that are married and are pregnant or have children already. Geez, we just graduated a year ago! I can't believe what these people are getting themselves into. Not that I'm judging them or anything, but I personally still feel like a kid. My biggest worries right now include trying to find a new part-time job, the Harry Potter book coming out in a couple of weeks, putting together events for the peace alliance, and whether or not I can get my sim through college on the Sims 2. I seriously could not imagine being MARRIED, let alone getting ready to welcome a child into the world.

I really don't want to get married until I'm at least twenty-five, and I don't want kids until I'm almost thirty. I feel like these people are rushing into things way too fast- but that's just me I suppose.

make my day and...

...give this some thought!

The legislation for the Peace Department is something that I have become very passionate about. You're probably thinking, "What difference will I make? I'm just one person!"
The answer is you can make all the difference! Especially if you are a teenager or a young adult. Many of us young people (lol) don't get involved in the things that we care about, and then complain when things do not go the way they want in government. If you help support, not only the Peace Department legislation, but anything that you personally care about, your voice will be heard.

Please go to www.thepeacealliance.org and learn more about what is going on! They also have many celebrity supporters that you might know, including the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Paula Abdul and Joaquin Phoenix.

I'm holding my very first meeting as the district leader on May 9th, which is 8 days from now! It will be at 5:30 at my house. It is a great way to learn more about the Peace Department. You can come, listen and then decide whether this is something you are truly into or not.

At the meeting we will also discuss the logistics of my very first campaign as team leader, which is the "Peace Want's a Piece of the Pie Campaign". We will deliver pies to Ms. Feistein and Ms. Boxer as a Mother's Day gift from the Department Legislation. It has been proven in the past that pies correllate with support from our Representives! Haha.

So please, get involved. Let your friends and family know about this and also try to get them involved! Currently there is a big WHOPPING
zero members from District 19. My aim is to prove that Modesto isn't a bunch of rednecks =].

You can reply to this bulletin or give me a call at (209)-996-8767 for more info on the Peace Department and our upcoming meeting!

xx -Jess

PS- I know many of you are involved with the Displace Me campaign (so am I). If you are, the Peace Department Legislation is the thing for YOU! Why you ask? Because if a Peace Department were to be put in place, one of its main goals would be to create peace not only in our own country, but also over-seas in places like Uganda. Could you imagine our country, one of the richest and most powerful countries in the world, supporting peace and harmony instead of war and death? Remember, we live in America! We can make a difference!
